Anybody Here Seen ISON?....
Did anyone manage to catch comet ISON before it's sad demise? I got up early on several occasions but failed to catch a glimpse of the beast. I did get a decent view of comet Lovejoy, at that time just above the sickle of Leo and also a superb view of Saturn and Mercury in the frosty pre-dawn sky so the time wan't totally wasted. I guess my hopes for ISON were never very high after it was rather prematurely hailed as 'The Comet of the Century'. We seem to have heard that one before.
Predicting comet behaviour is a dark art in an early stage of development.
