Comet PANSTARRS Again Empty Comet PANSTARRS Again

Post  Harry Hamill Thu Mar 28, 2013 8:17 am

March 27th. Between 7.30 and 8.00 pm. Moon full in Virgo but just rising and mostly obscured by cloud. Quite a lot of cloud to the north and west but with sufficient breaks for me to spot PANSTARRS close to δ Andromedae. Altitude around 12 degrees. Tail clearly visible. SkySafari gives the magnitude as 3.7.
Once picked up it was easy to find again in the 10 x 50 binoculars. Couldn't see it with the naked eye.
