August Events & BBQ

Our usual meetings continue during August with our meeting at Sudborough Village Hall on August 2nd and at Chelveston Village Hall on August 20th. Both meetings are entitled 'Astrononomical Aspects' and are our more informal meetings where members are invited to share recent observing experiences and allow time for discussion. Night Sky guides will be amongst the short talks presented.
Keith and Christine have kindly agreed to host this years society BBQ at their home in Stanwick on August 18th. So that we have an idea of numbers, please advance book by either adding your name to the list at the Sudborough meeting or alternatively e-mail either Steve Williams or Iain Barrie. Cost is £5 per head with the event also being open to partners and spouses.
We also hold two Starnight events this month - the Perseid meteor watch is at Chelveston Village Hall on August 10th, whilst our regular Friday evening sessions commence properly on August 31st.
So plenty of events for you to enjoy!!
